I was a victim to clicking through things too fast and was recently greeted with a blank friends list when I pulled my phone out the other day to see if my wife had made it where she was going.  The version of maps that is running on devices with Jelly Bean such as the Nexus 7 is different than what is currently running on 4.0.4.  If you did what I did and un-checked the wrong box you can actually mess up friends for all other mobile devices and even using a browser.  Instructions on how to get your Friend List back after the break. Here it is the link to the XOOM IMM76L update.  Instructions coming soon.

A few weeks ago I posted a link to some of the CM9 themes out there and have kept looking for new ones since those released.  I am pleased to write that there are lot more of them now and I have been trying a few here and there.  I am hoping to try a few and then either weekly or possibly monthly write up a post of my favorite ones.  Here are a few that I found in the last few weeks that I think are worth a mention.

With the 4.0.4 leak out a lot of people were wondering what happens if this is not made available to the general public.  I did some digging around have been working with the built in backup of ICS using ADB.  Read on for instructions to backup your phone. (more…)

Just a quick update that I saw on Google+ today.  ICS 4.0.4 is rolling out for the NS4G, all I can say is about time.  Here is the link to the Google+ post:

I finally got my hands on an HP TouchPad.  I was at the local Best Buy this weekend and they had 1 32GB left for $149.99.  I grabbed it took it home and gave WebOS about 45 minutes to impress me.  Needless to say it didn’t impress at all.  My wife will be the primary user of the tablet and wanted to use our Nook account, so I hit their “Market” and there is no Nook app.  She was instantly ready for ICS which meant I got to play with it.  Read more for a little information about my install issues and some great news about CM9.
